IFF against Racism - Racism, Mr. George Floyd and Our Position
Britannica’s depth in the definition of the term, racism, captures multifaceted perspectives to the subject matter.
It States:
“Racism, also called racialism, any action, practice, or belief that reflects the racial worldview—the ideology that humans may be divided into separate and exclusive biological entities called “races”; that there is a causal link between inherited physical traits and traits of personality, intellect, morality, and other cultural and behavioral features; and that some races are innately superior to others. Since the late 20th century the notion of biological race has been recognized as a cultural invention, entirely without scientific basis”.
Whereas we acknowledge that the premise behind Racism cannot be substantiated scientifically; its reality is greater than any other proof required. One recent evidence or event is the killing of Mr George Floyd in Minneapolis, which was captured live on camera and has caused global outrage, sparking a wave of protests in cities across the US. An American, whose life was snuffed out by Derek Chauvin, the police officer who continued to kneel on Mr Floyd’s neck as he pleaded repeatedly for breath and life, and now charged with second-degree murder.
This TRUTH in Britannica’s definition is
“a belief that reflects the Racial worldview…..”.
Herein lies the catalyst that instigates behaviour and/or action. Chauvin might have been expressing his belief and worldview of racism; but the clear reality is that he is a CRIMINAL, a MURDERER!
We also recall the racially-motivated daylight murder, a few weeks ago, of a 25-year-old black man, Ahmad Aubrey, shot to death while jogging in Satilla Shore neighbourhood of Georgia by two assailants, also on camera.
The INTERNATIONAL FAMILY FOUNDATION represents a worldview devoid of racial bias. While this is unbelievable to even the racially impacted, it is our conviction that; WE ARE ALL A FAMILY, One Global, International Family. An affirmation of Mahatma Ghandi’s proclamation that:
“All humanity is one undivided and indivisible family……”
Indeed, it is in the Family that we initiate paradigm shifts that no legislation or scientific evidence can overcome.
Over time, there has been a long-held misconception that injustice and hate crimes can be perpetrated under the cloak of racism and that this would influence legal opinion. Such selfish and self-serving belief has been etched into the psyche of inwardly inferior folk who have a need to feel superior. So, we have people with a need to fulfil their low self-esteem and desire. They latch onto the idea as a tool to achieve something evil and sinister. We know that even the racial perpetrator cannot tolerate racism. Would he or she like to be discriminated against because of his or her race? NO! If it is only about race or colour. Why do you desire the right to hate a certain skin colour and yet do not want others to share the same privilege of equally hating the colour of your own skin?
Different forms of assertions and reasons have been crafted to justify HATRED. That’s all it is. HATE! That people are racially different cannot be changed. What can be changed is the belief that HATE can be hidden in racial reality to perpetuate a Crime. What we have are CRIMINALS who want to Rape. Steal. Enslave. Traffic humans and Kill; all for leisure. They hide under the guise of racism, in a bid to gather sympathy, support, create a political/religious divide or following.
Like RAPE, THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR RACIAL DISCRIMINATION AND HATRED!
The INTERNATIONAL FAMILY FOUNDATION hereby reiterates the position of the late Dr Martin Luther King jr. that:
“…..we should not be judged by the colour of our skin, but by the content of our character….”.
This is why we call upon all the citizens of the world to stand up and be heard because, in the end, according to Dr. King, we will remember NOT the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
The world needs to see clearly and condemn the criminality subsumed by these evil perpetrators. Once we have this as a clear understanding, we can then rest our emotions and find common grounds with partners all over the world, regardless of their racial identity and look out for the criminals, who have the belief that hate crimes can be justified if they are given a racial tint.
