Mission & Vision
The mission and vision of the International Family Foundation is anchored on the principles of United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs “Family Oriented Policies for Poverty Reduction, Work-Family Balance and Intergenerational Solidarity Policy (2012)”
The denigration of the Value and Quality of Life, and The role of the Nuclear and Extended Family which dovetails primarily into the essence of the family as the functional core of societies.
Objectives
The International Family Foundation aims to globally synchronize, stimulate, organize and coordinate people, resources, information, and activities towards developing the capacities of families (men, women and children), and sustaining the nature, essence, and function of the conventional family. In conjunction with governmental and non-governmental organizations and well-meaning patrons, the IFF will function to advocate, facilitate, promote, and protect the values of traditional Family life in the society for peaceful coexistence, justice, and equal rights.
International Family Foundation will focus on the promotion of human capital development through the use of participatory communication and knowledge exchanges, and implementation and training of community-based organizations (CBOs) to achieve diverse agendas for community development. IFF will also utilize various media communication channels to raise awareness and instigate action on issues of public concern (such as rape, HIV/AIDS, girl child issues, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, democracy and good governance, etc).
In line with this the IFF hopes to:
To build the internal capacities of families.
To enhance the livelihood of family units and vulnerable groups through advocacy and education on issues of poverty alleviation, and moral and societal ills.
To enhance self-reliance of vulnerable Family members through vocational training programs and skills acquisition.
