IFF/ACE-FUELS Sensitization Workshop on Energy Transition & Renewable Energy Technologies
IFF and ACE FUELS Host Successful Events in Owerri Owerri, Nigeria - November 30, 2024
The International Family Foundation (IFF) in collaboration with ACE FUELS, has successfully hosted two impactful events in Owerri, aimed at empowering the youth and promoting sustainable national development.
On November 29, 2024, IFF in partnership with ACE FUELS, hosted secondary schools in Owerri for a seminar on “Energy Transition and Renewable Energy Technologies.”
The event was intense and educative. It provided a platform for students to learn about the importance of renewable energy and its role in mitigating climate change, and different sources of energy.
Day 2, the next day on November 30, 2024, IFF hosted the “Poverty Reduction Summit Chapter 2,” with the theme “Strategic Education: Empowering the Youth for Poverty Eradication and Sustainable National Development.” The summit brought together stakeholders in the education sector to discuss strategies for empowering the youth and reducing poverty in Nigeria.
The events were graced by the presence of distinguished leaders in the education and community development sector, including:
– Prof. Emeka Ogezie, President, International Family Foundation
– HRH Ovie Omeleh, Secretary-General, International Family Foundation
– Dr. Lady Dorothy , Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth Development and Talent Hunt, Imo State
– Dr. Edoya Ukwedeh, North Central Zonal Coordinator
– Hon. Ugochi Oguguo, South East Representative
– Engr. Eyike Igwe, South South Representative
– Dr. Mrs. Kanayo Oguzie, Strategic Policy Development
In attendance were all their state representatives and a host of guests from both public and private sectors, making the events a resounding success.
At the summit, the IFF donated professional textbooks to the schools in attendance and gifted cash prizes to the best students.
The foundation has been actively involved in various programs aimed at poverty reduction and empowerment in Nigeria, including hosting events in Awka and other parts of the South East and Northern Nigeria.
The events were moderated by renowned compere and IFF ambassador, Bob Manuel.
The International Family Foundation remains committed to empowering the youth and promoting sustainable national development in Nigeria.
